Enjoy the Adventure!

Hello and welcome! This week's Global Design Project Challenge is an "Adventure" theme! I couldn't resist using the new "Carried Away" DSP from the upcoming "Sale-a-Bration" catalogue which starts 4 January 2017. I teamed it with the caravan from the "You're Sublime" stamp set and the sentiment comes from another new set "Suite Sentiments" from the Occasions Catalogue also starting on 4 January 2017. The circle is from the "Stitched Shapes Framelits" which are on special till 30 November 2016. I love these shapes with the little stitched holes. And the colours in the "Carried Away" DSP are gorgeous - Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Smoky Slate, Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White. To make the caravan pop I coated it with the Fine-Tip Glue. It gives it shine and dimension, it makes a great replacement for the now retired "Crystal Effects". The enamel shapes add a lit

Mediterranean Mojo!

Yay my "little" bbb (big brown box) arrived yesterday and between clients I've managed to make a card using the gorgeous new Mediterranean Moments stamp set, the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the Falling in Love DSP. This scene takes me back to my days in Europe sitting at places similar to this where the days were warm and endless! A far cry from today - it's cold and pouring with rain and my to do list is a mile long! Not that I'm complaining as I love my life with my little family and it's what I wished for all those years ago! This is Vivie and me (on the left) on a trip to Spain in October 1986. We flatted together in London and would have our holidays in various gorgeous locations around Europe. We are still friends today!   These scenes look lovely whether they're watercoloured, embossed or just stamped. I think they'd be great stamped and made into a mini colouring-in book.   Enjoy the rest of your day and see you soon -

Fruit Stand Thanks!

When I saw the Global Design Project #062 | Sketch Challenge  I knew exactly what I wanted to make! And what DSP I wanted to use! Then it was just a matter of getting into my craft room to get creating.  I decided to make four cards using different designs of the Fruit Stand DSP and cardstock. I'm going to give these to a friend who has recently lost her father - I'm sure they'll come in handy.       I love this paper (this is actually my second pack) so I definitely #loveitchopit as Kylie encourages everyone to do! I don't think it's a good idea to save paper to use later as our tastes change and sometimes you don't even like paper you've put away for a raining day! Plus I like to make room for the new papers!   Remember to go check out all the fabulous creations from the GDP design team - they're always so inspirational!   Have a great week and thanks for stopping by  -

Going Crazy!

Hi and welcome to my newly designed blog which is the work of the incredibly talented and gorgeous Louise Sharp ( http://www.louisesharp.com.au/ ). It's so much nicer to be posting on a beautifully decorated blog!   Now that my feet are back on terra firma after my amazing Brisbane trip I thought I should make my card for this week's Global Design Project challenge.  For some reason I just couldn't settle on what to make and each time I made a card I put it to one side and started again! There's something to be said for putting it away and coming back with fresh eyes, which is exactly what I did this morning and here they all are! This card uses the Love You Lots Hostess stamp set. I love this little frog it's so cute and quirky! I've made this card with a special friend in mind who is always so thoughtful, kind and does some wonderfully sweet things for me! The flamingo and leaves from the Pop of Paradise stamp set work perfectly with these colo

Hello Lovely!

OMG this is going to be the smallest and fastest post I have ever done - so hold onto your hats you're in for a fast ride! The reason being I'm off to Brisbane for On-Stage tomorrow and I have to be up at 3am and suddenly there seems to be so much to do! But I'm not about to miss the latest challenge over at the Global Design Project.   This week's challenge is Global Design Project #060 | CASE the Designer   and it's the irrepressible and totally gorgeous Brian King! Brian's cards mostly have lots of layers and are very smooth - haha I haven't meet him but I imagine he's a lot like that himself!  For my card I've used a piece of designer series paper from the Serene Scenery stack which looks like a painted wooden door and then adhered the flower and greenery. The flower is from the Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection and I've just fussy cut around it. The Hello Lovely stamp is from the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory Pack.
