Dragonfly Dreams Card

Tuesday 28 March 2017 I'm loving this dragonfly - it's going to be my new favourite and featuring on all those male cards I used to have such a hard time creating. I look forward to teaming it with the Urban Underground Specialty DSP - watch this space. The sun is finally shining here so I'm off to enjoy the last of it while I cook dinner - the sun streams in my kitchen at this time of year!

Hey, Chick Card

Monday 27 March 2017   With Sale-A-Bration nearly over for another year I couldn't miss an opportunity to create a card using the Hey, Chick Stamp Set. The images and sentiments in this set are very funky!     The Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack from the Occasions Catalogue is a definite favourite - I'm onto my second stack! I used the new Watercolour Pencils to colour in my chick. They are so easy to use and create a perfectly water-coloured image.   A few enamel shapes, some linen thread and a mini paper clip complete my card. I think these will make great Easter cards this year.   And of course a strip of DSP and cardstock for a very simple but tidy insert to finish it off. Remember if you'd like to get this stamp set you only have 5 days left to place a qualifying order. Please contact me asasp if you'd like to at angela.frank00 @gmail.com . I'd love to hear from you.

Inside the Lines Card

Sunday 26 March 2017 I love Teneale William's cards and projects - everything she creates is amazing and has a little something extra that sets her apart from the rest. I am an absolute fan of Teneale's (if you hadn't already guessed) so today when I saw this gift bag I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit) it to create a card.    And here's what I came up with - I used the Pop of Pink Specialty DSP with the Inside the Lines DSP from the SAB brochure. The It's your day stamp is from the Oh Happy Day Card Kit. I cut the little flower from the Inside the Lines DSP and coloured it in Melon Mambo. For those who don't want to colour in the Inside the Lines DSP this is a perfect way to use it. This layout is a great one and I'll be adding it to my library of sketches. Enjoy your day and see you again soon.

Lucky Elephant Card

Saturday 25 March 2017 To say I'm particularly fond of this elephant is an understatement, after presenting at On Stage with this stamp set I've come to think of him as my own! I thought he went really well with this Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper to make a masculine card and the "celebrate" is from the Party with Cake stamp set. To give him something a little extra I coated him with glue from the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. It's another cold and wet day in Christchurch again so whilst I'm pretending to be annoyed it's miserable, I'm secretly pleased as it's perfect for stamping!

Neighbourhood Love!

Friday 24 March 2017 We live in a little cul-de-sac with lovely neighbours. This week we have been given beetroot, parsnips, tomatoes and lemons by three of them. Not to mention my other neighbour who is a constant supplier of onions, bananas, cocoa or anything else we seem to be short of when baking or cooking, she is also a great supplier of wine and friendship.   I wanted to give something back to my neighbours to say thank you and how much I appreciated their gifts and kindness, and the best way I knew was to make some cards. I made each neighbour a variety of small gift cards consisting of male and female birthday, baby and thank you.   I tied them up with a piece of ribbon and they're ready to deliver. (Along with some bacon they bought to help my daughter with a fundraiser - we really do have great neighbours!)   I really enjoyed making these cards and they didn't take too long. It was a great way to use up all my small pieces of DSP too!

Aim for Alaska Blog Hop

Wednesday 22 March 2017 Thank you for visiting my blog today on the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop. There is a list of links at the end of this post of all the other demonstrators joining the Blog Hop so there'll be lots of creative projects to admire. Has anyone ever inspired you? I mean really inspired you to work harder than you have ever worked before, longer hours, missed meals and let your cup of tea go cold? Well I've finally met that person and her name is Kylie Bertucci! And for me not to drink a hot cup of tea well that's never been done before! There's a reason why Kylie is the number one demonstrator in Australia - she's amazing! She's motivational, kind, tough, hardworking and wouldn't expect you to do anything she either wouldn't do or hasn't done! Kylie wants to help others succeed in their Stampin' Up!® business and achieve the next Incentive Trip to Alaska so she started the Aim for Alaska Group. I joined this group and ever si

Lucky Elephant Card

Tuesday 21 March 2017   Welcome to my blog today and my card for Global Design Project. This week it's a theme challenge - "Amusement Park" and I've chosen the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack to showcase on my card.    To go with the Amusement Park theme I immediately thought of elephants albeit they'd be on a merry-go-round!     A few embellishments including enamel shapes, linen thread, very vanilla 1/4" satin ribbon and a mini paper clip complement the DSP perfectly. This gorgeous elephant is from the Lucky Elephant stamp set and to tone down the image I used a dauber on the stamp rather than using the stamp pad directly. Please pop over to the Global Design Project blog to get lots of inspiration from the designers and challenge entries for this cool theme.

Sweet Treats

Monday 20 March 2017 How cute are these Mini Egg Cartons? They might be small but I managed to cram quite a few of these delicious little eggs into them. Okay so there might not be as many in there now .... but aren't the colours gorgeous! I used the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper for the belly band and yes the ribbon is retired but it worked so perfectly I just had to use it! The sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments Stamp set and I've used Stampin' Markers to colour the words on the stamp individually before stamping it and cutting it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. What did we do before we had these? They are the best thing since "sliced bread"! And my little heart is a wooden one from the Sending Love Embellishments that I pressed into the Peekaboo Peach stamp pad to colour it.   I've got a day in my craft room tomorrow so I'm off to have an early night!

Baby Card

Sunday 19 March 2017 I'm just popping in quickly to post my card for this week's #tgifc99 Theme Week - Baby! Oh, Baby!   I've been at volleyball this afternoon to watch my eldest daughter play and now we are all about to watch a movie. At the weekend we try to do something as a family - it doesn't always work out but we have great intentions! I've used "A Little Foxy" Designer Series Paper Stack which lends itself to a bold and bright baby card. The congratulations is from the Made with Love stamp set and I used the Baby's First Framelits for the onesie and flower. My youngest daughter turned 14 on Friday so it seems forever ago since there was a baby in the house - I never thought I'd say it but I miss those days. They're growing into kind beautiful young women that I am so proud of but I want to wrap them in cotton wool and protect them like I did when they were babies. Anyway enough reminiscing I'm off to watch a movie. Enjo

Happy Birthday Card

Saturday 18 March 2017 Global Design Project 078 | Sketch Challenge Yay for the weekend - it was so nice not having to rush up this morning! I'm still in my pyjamas and as the weather is wet again I don't feel guilty! Perfect for creating my card for this week's Global Design Project Sketch Challenge - As always the sketch is very clean and simple, leaving as much room for creativity as you like.  I decided to use the Party Animal Designer Series Paper to create a bright and fun birthday card.   The Party Animal Suite in the 2017 Occasions Catalogue is super cute and I love the bright colours and co-ordinating products.   The little party hat is one of the Party Animal Embellishments but as I wasn't tying it onto anything I snipped off the metal ring at the top. The Happy Birthday is from the Party Pop-Up Thinlits - I just cut the letters apart and glued them on the oval framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.   A "Hooray&

Inside the Lines Card

Thursday 16 March 2017 I love colouring in this gorgeous black and white designer series paper by Stampin' Up!® or not colouring it in as I've done with most of it here! I've teamed the Inside the Lines DSP with the Reverse Words stamp set - both of which are Sale-A-Bration items. I love my job as a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator - who else would pay me to colour in all day?

Make A Wish

Tuesday 14 March 2017 The weather here is still very bleak but at least it has stopped raining. Apparently it's going to be 26°C on Friday which I'm thrilled about as it means Winter isn't quite here yet!   This gorgeous flower is from the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper which is one of the Sale-A-Bration freebies - get in quick if you'd like it as SAB ends at the end of this month. I've fussy cut it and coloured it in using ink from the co-ordinating stamp pads using a mixture of blender pen and aqua painter. The designer series paper behind the flower is from the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP.   And this is the layout that inspired my card. The sentiment is from the Window Shopping stamp set and I've white embossed it onto a small piece of Basic Black cardstock.   And of course I've added a strip of DSP to the inside to finish it off. Pop on over to the Mojo Monday blog if you'd like more ideas using this fabulous ske

Thanks Card: Global Design Project

Sunday 12 March 2017 It's still pouring so I'm happily hanging out in my craft room making cards! I was pottering around with the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack and the Window Shopping stamp set and decided to make another card for the Colour Challenge over at the Global Design Project.    Here are the colours for the challenge:   And here's my latest card:     I'm thinking of having a challenge with myself - use every stamp in each set! Sometimes I realise (mostly when the stamp set is being retired) that I haven't used some of the stamps and suddenly they seem like the best stamps! Today I've used the "Thanks for being a great friend" and the "Square of Flowers" on my card - I've only got 10 more stamps in the set that I haven't used now! The Cupcakes and Carousels DSP is perfect for this colour challenge as it has all the colours in it and I've highlighted them with the cardsto

More Reverse Words!

Saturday 11 March 2017 Hi Everyone I hope you are looking forward to a lovely weekend, it's raining here so it's perfect for a day in my craft room. I'm using the Sale-A-Bration Reverse Word stamp set again, this time in Watermelon Wonder to co-ordinate with the Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper. I'm definitely going to be making more of these cards as they're not only quick and easy but look smart!   I hope you get to enjoy some crafting time too this weekend.

Sale-A-Bration Reverse Words

Friday 10 March 2017 Colour INKspiration Challenge – CI05   Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a card I have made for the Colour INKspiration Challenge using the Reverse Words stamp set. The Reverse Words stamp set is only available until 31 March and is an exclusive Sale-A-Bration set (more details below).   I love these subtle colours - they are definitely me!   The It's Your Day is from the Confetti Celebration stamp set and the DSP is Sahara Sand from the Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack. Some Linen Thread and Pearls put the finishing touches to the card.   I softened the edges of the stamped images with my Aqua Pen on both cards but it's more noticeable on the Dapper Denim than the Blushing Bride and Soft Sky. The Note Cards & Envelopes were perfect to make these cards. If you'd like to get this stamp set or any of the other Sale-A-Bration items there are three ways:- SHOP -  for eve

Good Luck!

Thursday 9 March 2017 Global Design Project 077 | Colour Challenge   Once again there's a Colour Challenge at Global Design Project which means ONE person gets to be on the design team for the next Colour Challenge. I would love that!    Here are the colours for this week's challenge -     I've been mulling these colours over for the last few days and here's my card -     I used the Watercolour Paper as my free choice colour and I did sneak a bit of gold thread in too! The dragonfly is from the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle which is such a great set. The water colouring was done by smearing ink from the stamp pads (Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach and Early Espresso) onto an acrylic block and then pressing it down on a piece of water colour paper that I had randomly dropped water onto. The card base is Early Espresso, the striped DSP is from the In Colour DSP Stack in Peekaboo Peach and the dragonfly is coloured in Bermuda Bay and Early Es
