Global Design Project 093 | Colour Challenge

Thursday 29 June 2017 Today I'm showcasing new products from the Stampin' Up! 2017/18 Annual Catalogue on my card for the latest Global Design Project Colour Challenge.   Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst are two of the new five "In Colors" that will be with us for the next two years. Teamed with Pool Party (one of my favourite colours) it makes a stunning impact.     "Birthday Wishes" is from the new Happiest of Days (143796) stamp set. It has a lovely selection of images and sentiments. I'm looking forward to making more projects with this set. I coloured the images using my blender pen and ink from the lid of my stamp pads.   The Lemon Lime Twist DSP on the base is from the Eastern Palace Specialty (144147) Designer Series Paper and the Berry Burst DSP is from the Naturally Eclectic (144185) Designer Series Paper.     I included strips of both DSP on the inside and added the new Pool Party Solid Baker's Twine (14435

CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge - #134

Monday 26 June 2017   Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Today my card is for CASEing the Catty Challenge and this week it is from the section of the catalogue "For Babies & Kids"!  My card is based on the card at the bottom left on page 105 of the Annual Catalogue.  I really love this layout.   I used the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper (144185) and picked out the gorgeous colours of the gems to colour my elements - Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy and Night of Navy.     The cake and greenery are from the Happiest of Days stamp set (143796) and the "Happy for You" is from In the City stamp set (hostess). The zigzag at the top of the banner is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (137547)!   If you live in New Zealand and would like to purchase any of these products you can  SHOP NOW  at my online shop. Or if you are looking for a demonstrator please contact me.   I hope you have a fabulous week and see you soon.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Thursday 22 June 2017 Welcome to the second Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The theme this month is masculine.     I've created this card with lots of different Stampin' Up! products. Firstly the stamping, the magnificent tree is from  "Lovely As a Tree", the sentiment is from "Lovely Friends" and the stripes (stamped three times on top of each other) are from "Butterfly Basics". I've used a strip of Designer Series Paper from the new Color Theory Stack in Old Olive - this stack also comes in Berry Burst, Crushed Curry and Dapper Denim and has 6 different designs. The Old Olive Enamel Shapes are from the Brights Collection - I love these! And some Linen Thread to tie it up! Lovely As a Tree is a really versatile stamp set and makes a perfect Masculine card - wouldn't you agree? Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy all the other lovel

Global Design Project 092 | Case the Designer

Wednesday 21 June 2017     Hello and welcome, today my card is for this week's Global Design Project #092 | Case the Designer and this week's "CASEE" is Steffi Helmschrott. Steffi has a lovely style with beautiful water-colouring.   Here's GDP's CASE definition:   "CASE = C opy A nd S electively E dit - Remember that when you CASE a project you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set - the colours, the layout, the flowers, whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own."   I took my inspiration from Steffi's layout and used "my new favourite" stamp set - Little One! The gorgeous designer series paper you can see around the edge is from the Bundle of Love Specialty DSP.  The cardstock I've teamed up with this DSP is the co-ordinating Blushing Bride and I've added Flirty Flamingo for some contrast.     I stamped the stars in Daffodi

Dragonfly Duo!

Monday 19 June 2017      Hello and welcome! My creation today is for two challenges, CASEing the Catalogue and Colour INKspiration. The inspiration for my card came from the bird card on page 98 of the catalogue for the CASEing the Catty CTC133 Challenge. And the colours came from this lovely selection for the Colour INKspiraton CI11 Challenge. I used the new Coffee Break Designer Series Paper as it has both Early Espresso and Soft Suede in it and added the Marina Mist by watercolouring a piece of Shimmery White cardstock for the dragonfly thinlits. If you look very closely you can see that the Rhinestones have a faint blue tint - I ran them over the Marina Mist ink pad then embossed them with clear embossing powder. And the background is made using the Embossing Paste with the cloud decorative mask. The embossing paste is fun and easy to use. Thanks for stopping by today - have a great week and see you back again soon.

Oh Baby Baby!

Friday 16 June 2017   Hello! Today I made this little card for two different challenges using the Little One stamp set and a bit of patience!     One is the Global Design Project's Theme Challenge of Wheels and the other is CASEing the Catty from pages 68-85.           I didn't have a particularly "wheel" kind of stamp so I decided to make my own baby buggy to go with the sentiment from the Little One stamp set. And as I wanted to CASE a layout from the Catalogue I decided on the ice cream card on page 82.     I was drawn to the colours and the clean lines of the ice cream card, and loved how the Designer Series Paper from the Petal Garden Stack teamed up perfectly for the buggy's hood - that's where my patience was tested!! I used the Layering Circles Framelits for all those different circles and the Softly Falling and Sparkle Embossing Folders for the buggy and white layering piece. I need to stop making baby cards - th

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Thursday 15 June 2017 Welcome to the second Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from New Zealand. I hope you enjoy my card showcasing one of my favourite carry over products.   I'm so pleased this stamp set Dragonfly Dreams and the co-ordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits are carrying over as they are one of my main go-to stamp sets for both male and female cards! Today I've stamped the sentiment in the new "Fresh Fig" ink to match the "Fresh Fig" designer series paper from the Fresh Florals stack. This paper is gorgeous, it has four designs in each of the new In Colours - Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. And of course there's the new co-ordinating Finely Woven Ribbon in all the new In Colors.     To create the paper for the baby dragonflies I washed Fresh Fig ink (using my Aqua Painter) over a piece of Shimmery White cardstock before cutting it with t

Welcome Little One

Wednesday 14 June 2017 Hello and welcome to our International Blog Highlights for the month of June. I am among Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world being highlighted by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to vote for my project. The theme this month is "Baby".  I eagerly awaited my box of new Stampin' Up! products to arrive which included the "Little One" stamp set so I could make my card.   How cute is the little tepee? I'm looking forward to making lots more baby cards with this super cute set! For my card I've used Powder Pink, Smoky Slate, So Saffron and Basic Black inks with Powder Pink and Whisper White cardstock. And I couldn't resist taking a photograph of the card with a little Powder Pink bonnet knitted for Abbey by her Grandmother. Sadly she passed away several years ago but it's nice to have this little memento that Abbey can treasure.     I love the little bunny so much I decided to pop one

Thank You Daisy Delight

Monday 12 June 2017   Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today's card is inspired by  #TGIF111 Sketch Challenge . I love the clean lines of this sketch and I'll definitely be adding this to my file of favourite sketches. Have a look at the samples created by the TGIF Team for some inspirational ideas.     For my card I decided to use products from the Delightful Daisy Suite and as Navy Blue is my favourite colour I started with the daisy chain DSP.     I stamped the daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set three times in Night of Navy, punched it out with the co-ordinating Daisy Punch and stuck a large Clear Faceted Gem in the centre.  The sparkle of the gem complements the Silver Ribbon nicely.   The sentiment "Your thoughtfulness brightened my day" is stamped in Night of Navy too and the card base has been embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.     To complete my card I decorated the inside with a piece of the DSP, a s

Random Act of Kindness - June Blog Hop

Sunday 11 June 2017 Welcome to the Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Blog Hop. You are visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid in New Zealand. I am showcasing cards I will be sending as part of the Random Act of Kindness Card Group on Facebook. Each month, we each select a few people from the Group to send a RAK card to, to brighten their day. Please feel free to join the Group if you would like to participate in the RAK cards movement (blogging is not mandatory) #imbringingRAKcardsback . These are two of the cards I have made to send: This card has been made using the new Daisy Delight stamp set and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper in the new Powder Pink In Color.   I have loved the cards I received during May, especially the lovely hand written messages. So much love and kindness have gone into these cards - they really do brighten my day! I'm hoping to send more cards out this month so I can bring a smile to others too!     And here are some birthday cards I

Daisy Delight CASE

Saturday 10 June 2017 The Stampin' Up! catalogues have so many fabulous ideas which makes "CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge" such a great idea. They have a blog hop on a Sunday which starts from Rebecca's blog: https://thepaperandstampaddict.com.au/ My card has been made using the new Daisy Delight stamp set and the design of my card was taken from page 63 of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for this challenge.        I'm off to take 4 teenage girls to a party! Then I'm planning on an evening of cardmaking - bliss!

Global Design Project 090 | Sketch Challenge

Friday 9 June 2017   Yip it's Friday again! The sun is shining here and everything seems right with my little corner of the world so I'm going to embrace this feeling with immense gratitude and love.   This week's challenge at the Global Design Project is a sketch one and I liked it so much I made two cards!   Have you seen the latest Stampin' Up! In Colors? Lemon Lime Twist seems to be the most controversial - you either love it or you hate it! I love it! I'm not a green person but for some reason I'm drawn to this colour. I think because it's fresh, bright and clean! I've used the new Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack in Lemon Lime Twist for the background along with a piece of the co-ordinating 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon. The flamingo from the Pop of Paradise stamp set has been stamped in Berry Burst - another of the new In Colors, a bow around its neck, a sprinkle of rhinestones and a very bright happy birthday card!

Global Design Project | Colour Challenge

Saturday 3 June 2017 Oh my gosh am I so happy to be here! After almost a week of excruciating back pain I'm pleased to say I'm on the mend. I try to appreciate feeling healthy but sometimes it gets taken for granted and I guess mostly it's not until you are unwell that you realise that!   So thank you for popping in to check out my blog today and as a celebration of feeling better I've made my card for this week's Global Design Project. Sadly it's Kylie Bertucci's last week as a Design Team Member but she plans on playing along when she can so it's great we won't be seeing the last of her at GDP! I will miss Kylie's regular projects and the support she's given me here since it began 89 challenges ago! Good luck Kylie - miss you already xx   The Daisy Delight stamp set and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper have been well loved since their arrival and I look forward to creating lots more projects with them.
