GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #149 | BOTANICAL BLISS BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Global Design Project Colour Challenge. I was thrilled to be picked as the Guest Designer for this Challenge and these are the lovely colours I got to create with! To create my card I've used the new Botanical Bliss Bundle. I started stamping Happy Birthday in Night of Navy, alternating between stamping it in full ink and stamping it off to create a lighter image. Next I added a swirl of Gold Metallic Thread topped with leaves cut from the Thinlits Die in Bermuda Bay Cardstock. Lastly I added the little bird, stamped in Lovely Lipstick and fussy cut. Three strategy placed Gold Sequin (creating an imaginary triangle) complete my card!   Please make sure you head over to the  Global Design Project  to check out all the fabulous projects by the Design Team. And thanks so much for stopping by, I hoped you enjoyed my card.

OSAT CREATURE COMFORTS BLOG HOP

Today I'm sharing my projects for the OSAT Blog Hop! This month our theme is Creature Comforts and I'm featuring the new Little Elephant stamp set and its co-ordinating Elephant Builder Punch. The altered canvas would make a perfect gift, accompanied by the co-ordinating mini card and could easily be duplicated in pinks! The Pacific Blue ink was mixed with White Embossing Paste to help it adhere to the canvas. Then I've added some of my favourite embellishments, including Gold Metallic Thread, Iridescent and Metallics Sequin Assortment. For my card I've covered the base with the Gray Granite and White patterned paper from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series. I added banners in Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist with a bow in Basic Black Baker's Twine, to go with the Elephant, umbrella and sequins! I hope you have enjoyed my projects today!   Please use the links below to continue on the hop with us!  There'll be lots

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT 145 | COLOUR CHALLENGE

Hello and thanks for stopping by today. My cards are for this week's Global Design Project Colour Challenge and use the three colours below: With the upcoming Confirmation of my two daughters and two of their friends, I needed four cards and decided to use the colour combination as my starting point. The flowers from the Botanical Tags Thinlits have been cut from a piece of Shimmery White cardstock water coloured with Grapefruit Grove. The one on the right has also been layered onto the water coloured paper. The background crosses are from the Healing Hugs stamp set and are stamped in Mint Macaron. "May God bless and keep you" is stamped in Fresh Fig (I stamped it off first and this is the second, lighter version). I then added a piece of Pearlized Doily, some Mint Macaron Nature's Twine and three Clear Rhinestones! These two also use the same colours! The striped paper is Mint Macaron from the Subtles 6" x 6" De

CASEING THE CATTY CTC 185 - BEST ROUTE

Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Our inspiration this week comes from The Best Route Suite on pages 52-65 of the Annual Catalogue.  You may have arrived here from seeing  Sandra's gorgeous project if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the next button at the end of this post will take you on your journey. This week my inspiration came from the "Thanks"  card below on page 55 of the Annual Catalogue.  It's such a pretty card, I love the colours, layers and design! For my card I've used the Petal Palette Stamp Set. The flowers are embossed in white and coloured in Poppy Parade and Old Olive with Pacific Point around the outside on Watercolour cardstock. I've attached a zigzag strip from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty DSP to the watercoloured cardstock before adhering it to the Poppy Parade card base. &qu
