CASEING THE CATTY C176 - FAVOURITE 2018 OCCASIONS CATALOGUE PROJECT

Sunday 29 April 2018

Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Our inspiration this week comes from the Occasions Catalogues - our Favourite Project! You may have arrived here from Mel's gorgeous blog if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the next button at the end of this post will take you on your journey.

My inspiration this week came from the same page as last week - 22.

I've chosen to CASE the card in the middle and have kept it very similar.

I really enjoyed making this card, probably because I love this Petal Palette stamp set and it's in my colours!

I stamped the floral image in Basic Black Ink onto a piece of Watercolor Paper then coloured it using the inks and an Aqua Painter.

Best Wishes was embossed with White Emboss Powder and cut with a co-ordinating frame from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.

You may have arrived here from Megan's delightful blog if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the next button at the end of this post will take you on your journey.

My inspiration this week came from the little card in the right hand bottom corner on page 22.

This Suite has been an absolute favourite so I'm pleased it is carrying over into the upcoming Annual Catalogue.

I picked out four cards from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack and decided to make them all into cards. The little flowers were stamped in Basic Black ink and coloured using Pear Pizzazz, Powder Pink, Pool Party and Berry Burst ink and an Aqua Painter.

The Stitched Shapes Framelits always look great! Happy Birthday is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments and has been punched out with the Classic Label Punch. My favourite Iridescent Sequins also make an appearance!

STAMPIN' DREAMS BLOG HOP - FAVOURITE DSP

Thursday 19th April 2018

Hello and welcome to this month's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. If you are hopping with us today you may have arrived from my lovely friend Lou Kitzelman's lovely blog or if you are just starting here there's a list at the end of this post to continue on the hop. I hope you enjoy the card I've created using my favourite DSP.

The Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper has been my favourite since the moment I saw it. I just love fresh colours and crisp designs!

I layered a piece of Night of Navy cardstock embossed with the Sparkle folder onto the card base then punched some of the DSP using the Tailored Tag Punch. I wanted to use the border of one of the stamps in the Truly Tailored stamp set I coloured it using the Night of Navy marker then stamped Happy Birthday in the middle. Happy Birthday is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.

A piece of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine and three Basic Rhinestones complete my card. It's a great way to use up scraps and I'm keen to create some more cards using this layout.

Please make your way around the hop - you won't want to miss any!

CASEING THE CATTY 174 - HOSTESS SETS & MEMORIES & MORE

Sunday 15 April 2018

Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Our inspiration this week comes from the Hostess Sets and the Memories & More products featured in the Annual and Occasions Catalogues. You may have arrived here from Judy May's delightful blog if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the next button at the end of this post will take you on your journey.

I was inspired by the tag in the middle photograph and I love making thank you gift tags to go with my customer orders.

The tag has been created using a card from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack and the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies with a hole punched in the top for a piece of Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon. I cut two of these labels and glued them together.

The leaves is a sticker also from the Card Pack - how easy is that? I've stamped Thank You from the Petal Palette stamp set and cut it out using a die from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.

Here's how I made the frame around the sentiment smaller - I cut it out then slid the framelit over and put it through the Big Shot again. I did this at each end of the sentiment.

Dimensionals under the sentiment to give it a lift, some black sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment and hey presto a very quick and easy gift tag!

OSAT POCKET FULL OF POSIES BLOG HOP

Thursday 12 April 2018

Hello and welcome to my blog. This month the OSAT team are showcasing projects with the theme "Pocket Full of Posies"! You may have arrived here from Sara's gorgeous project or if you have just started you can navigate through the hop by clicking on the links of the other design team members at the bottom of this post.

As the theme for this month's blog hop suggests more than one posy I decided my projects needed lots of flowers rather than just one bunch so I covered my card front with lots of the floral sprays cut from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.

I glued these on a piece of white cardstock then trimmed them down where they overlapped the edges. This was then mounted onto another piece of slighter larger cardstock before being adhered to the Powder Pink card base. A piece of co-ordinating Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon and a swirl of Gold Metallic Thread are attached under the sentiment using Dimensionals.

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set and has been gold embossed. A sprinkling of Powder Pink Iridescent Sequins have been dotted around the card.

And my little gift tag also has the floral spray which I've cut twice and glued together to create some dimension.

"For You" is from the Watercolor Wings stamp set, it is missing the "Just" - I covered this with washi tape, inked it up with Versamark, removed the washi tape then stamped and embossed it. I've also popped some Gold Metallic Thread behind the sentiment, added the Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon through the top of the tag and glued some Powder Pink Iridescent Sequins to the flower centres. These sequins are such a great way to add a little sparkle to any project!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and enjoy our hop which is full of lots of fabulous inspiration.

CASEING THE CATTY 173 - TRUE GENTLEMAN

Hello and welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing the True Gentleman Suite, pages 44-51of the Occasions Catalogue. This suite has a great range of products for male cards!

The inspiration for my card came from the card on the bottom - I think Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy look great together.

The card base uses Designer Series Paper from True Gentleman, the Night of Navy cardstock has been embossed with the Sparkle Folder and has some Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon poking out from behind it.

"Lookin' Sharp" from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist, punched out using the Co-ordinating Tailored Tag Punch, trimmed close to the edge then popped up on dimensionals on a piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock punched using the Tailored Tag Punch.

Happy Birthday and Celebrate in Style have been stamped in Tranquil Tide. Happy Birthday is from the Lemon Zest Stamp Set.

TUTTI-FRUTTI CARD: ALL STAR TUTORIAL BUNDLE BLOG HOP

Monday 2 April 2018

Hello and welcome to our Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop for April!

Each month I hop with this fabulous group of 12 demonstrators from around the world who create an amazing bundle of tutorials. This month we have a special guest joining us - Linda Dalke. Linda has been a demonstrator since 2006 and lives on the Central Coast in Australia. It's a pleasure to have Linda join us.

The tutorials are based on current products available in the Stampin' Up! catalogues and have both metric and imperial measurements so wherever you are in the world you can purchase and create these exclusive projects. We will be showcasing a project using the same bundle as in our tutorial. It isn't the same project, the projects in the Tutorial Bundle are exclusive and not shown anywhere else.

The Tutorial Bundle is $20NZ or place an order over $50NZ this month with me to receive this month's tutorial for free.

April's tutorials have been created using products from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue which runs till 31 May 2018.  This catalogue is full of lots of new and exciting Stampin' Up!® products.

Stampin' Up! often have quirky sentiments in their sets and "we make a great pear" in the Fruit Basket stamp set is one of those. It works perfectly for my anniversary card as on the 2nd of May my husband and I celebrate 20 years of marriage! I'm feeling very pleased with myself as not only have I made my card a month ahead of time, it's in his favourite colour so I'll get extra Brownie points for that!

I created my card base using the Shimmery White cardstock as I wanted to watercolour it and this cardstock is perfect for that. I've cut the cardstock to the same size as the Narrow Cards from the Occasions Catalogue - 11.5 cm x 12.7 cm (4.5" x 5") then scored and folded in half.

To create the "smooshed" background I pressed a piece of window sheet onto the Lemon Lime Twist Classic Stampin' Pad, spritzed it with water and pressed it onto the card base.

The pears have also been stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and punched out using the co-ordinating Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. They are on a circle cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits which has some Silver Metallic Thread wound around underneath it. Three silver sequin from the Metallics Sequin Assortment add a little bling too!

And here's a sneak peek of what is included in this months tutorial bundle:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope my project has inspired you. Please make your way around the hop - you won't want to miss any!
