GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT 144 | CASE THE DESIGNER

Hello and thanks for stopping by today. My card is for the latest Global Design Project Challenge - CASE the Designer and Chalett Mallett's gorgeous card below is my inspiration.

I've chosen to CASE Charlet's layout for my card. I love her layers and its perfect balance!

I'm so happy Coastal Cabana is back - it's one of my favourite colours! Can you tell? The striped paper is from the Brights 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Collection, then I've added a piece of DSP from the Tea Room Specialty DSP. Next is a Coastal Cabana Doily - these also come in Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove and Old Olive, and Happy Birthday is from the Lemon Zest Stamp Set.

To create and co-ordinate my dragonflies I water coloured a piece of Shimmery White cardstock with Coastal Cabana ink and then die cut them using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

I added 3 Iridescent Sequins - these are fabulous as they take on the colours around them so you don't have to match them up exactly.

The Global Design Project will be choosing a designer from this week's challenge to be a Guest Designer on the Global Design Project for the next six months. Oh how I'd love that!

INK & INSPIRATION BIRTHDAY SURPRISE BLOG HOP

Hello and welcome to this month's Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The complete list at the bottom will guide you through all the inspirational projects created by the team.

The theme this month is Birthday Surprise!

The new Designer Series Papers in the Annual Catalogue are so pretty and for this card I've chosen the Tea Room Specialty paper and the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty paper to create my card. Happy Birthday is from Beautiful Day stamp set and has been gold embossed.

The Nature's Twine comes in four colours and I've used the Mint Macaron. It was a bit too thick for this card so I split it and just used three strands for this card!

Here's a list of supplies I used:
Stamp Set: Beautiful Day

Inks: Versamark

Papers: Very Vanilla, Gold Glimmer Paper, Tea Room Specialty DSP, Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty DSP

Accessories: Metallics Sequin Assortment
Tools: Banner Punch

Adhesives: Stampin' Dimensionals, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop. You won't want to miss all the fabulous Birthday inspiration the team has to share!

INK IT! STAMP IT! BLOG HOP - NEW ANNUAL CATALOGUE

Friday 22 June 2018

Welcome to my very first hop with the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop Design Team. I'm so excited to be part of this fabulous group of talented stampers from all over Australia who have added a few of us international girls to the mix. Tonight we are sharing projects from the New Annual Catalogue so keep your wish list handy!  A full line up below will guide you through all the projects and you won't want to miss any!

The Little Elephant stamp set is one of my favourites in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue - I loved it the minute I saw it! For these cards I've chosen colours to co-ordinate with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper - Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam. The backgrounds have been stamped using the Versamark Pad to create a lovely subtle look.

Flirty Flamingo co-ordinates perfectly with the Petal Pink as do the Iridescent Sequin Assortment.

I've used Bermuda Bay to go with the Pool Party cardbase and DSP.

Blues always look great together - Pacific Point ink, Night of Navy cardstock and DSP, and Pool Party Sequin.

And lastly the Soft Sea Foam works well with Lemon Lime Twist Ink and Pear Pizzazz Sequin.

The Whisper White Baker's Twine tied in a bow gives each card a little finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by, enjoy the hop and I look forward to sharing more projects each month with the Ink It! Stamp It! Design Team.

STAMPIN' DREAMS BIRTHDAY THEME BLOG HOP

Thursday 21 July 2018

Hello and welcome to this month's Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The team have all created projects with a Birthday theme so there'll be lots of great projects to inspire you. A full list below will take you around all the projects.

Have you seen this Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper in the new Annual Catalogue? It's simply stunning. For my card I've adhered it to a piece of Petal Pink cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then trimmed it down to size. I added the glue sparingly to the bigger leaves and flowers which seems to be enough to hold it!

I then cut out five of the word "celebrate" in Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the Celebrate You Thinlits and glued them together, again with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I attached a swirl of Gold Metallic Thread underneath "celebrate" then adhered it to the card front, finishing it off with a sprinkling of Iridescent Sequins.

The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper is so delicate and gives projects a beautiful elegant look.

Please make your way around the hop - you won't want to miss any!

My inspiration this week came from the little kitten card (in the picture below) from page 31 of the Annual Catalogue.
I've created my card using the Little Elephant stamp set.

I've kept the layout the same just changed the colours to co-ordinate with the Bermuda Bay ribbon. I stamped the elephant first then created a mask so I could stamp the flowers in the background.

The elephant and flowers have been stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock so the background could be watercoloured. I've created a list of supplies below to make it easier for you to find what I've used but I'm always happy to answer any queries - just email me at angela.frank00@gmail.com.

Here's a list of supplies I used:

Stamp Set: Little Elephant

Inks: Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point, Blushing Bride, Night of Navy

Papers: Whisper White, Shimmery White

Accessories: Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls

Tools: Classic Label Punch, Layering Circle Framelits, Polka Dot Basics, Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
