Welcome to October's Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop! We are creating projects and accessorising them with our favourite Stampin' Up! embellishments, ribbon and/or trim this month. You may have arrived here from my talented and lovely friend Brian King from the United States, or if you are starting here please hop all the way around, you won't want to miss any of the inspirational projects created by the design team.

I have created my card using products from the Snowflake Splendor Suite in the 2020 Mini Stampin' Up! Catalogue. What I love most about this suite is the colour, I love blues!

I started with a piece of the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, adding it to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and separating the two with a strip of Silver Foil. To the embossed card, I flicked water, added Silver Emboss Powder and heat set.

Next I layered up the wreath which has been die cut in Silver Foil, Vellum and another piece of the Snowflake Splendor DSP.

"Merry" and "and" have been stamped in Pacific Point and cut out!

"Bright" has been cut three times, each time with a piece of the adhesive sheet on the back so it can easily be adhered together, to create some height.

Lastly, I added the accessories, the gorgeous Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and a bow made using the Baker's Twine which I have stripped the Misty Moonlight from, I've saved that to use on another project!

Next up in today's hop is my inspirational friend Janneke Dijkstra de Jong in the Netherlands, I'm looking forward to seeing what gorgeous creation Janneke has to share with us.

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Design Team's October Blog Hop. The Around the World on Wednesday has been created by my lovely friend Angie McKenzie and comprises a group of super talented demonstrators from around the world. The Around the World Hop goes live on the second Wednesday of each month.

Our theme this month is the world around us, and for all of us that is so different. Here in New Zealand I am grateful to feel safe and secure and able to continue life in a similar manner to before - apart from travelling! With technology, I love that we can feel connected despite the distance between us, but am definitely looking forward to when we can travel again and see family and friends in person. Here's to our world getting back on its feet!

It is springtime here in the southern hemisphere and it is definitely my favourite time of the year. Everything is blossoming and growing, oh and it's getting warmer!

My cards were created with sunshine and happiness in mind! I love the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, especially this gorgeous big sunflower. I sponged the background with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie Inks, concentrating the Pumpkin Pie under the sunflower. The background has been splashed with water to create droplets, this is one of my favourite techniques and then the finished card has been splattered with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

The gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack has been shredded and then wound around to create circles under the sentiment, it adds a little more sunshine and sparkle to the card. The Rhinestones have been coloured with the Dark Black Blends and add balance to the card. Colouring the Rhinestones with the Blends is a perfect way to get co-ordinating embellishments!

Next up on our Hop is Tatiana Tobin, I can't wait to see what she has created! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Society's October Blog Hop and Monthly Tutorial. I love being part of this team of amazingly talented Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world.

Our theme this month is the Plaid Tidings Suite from the Mini Catalogue. Here's a sneak peek of the gorgeous creations everyone has made.

We have a video tutorial available, showcasing six different and exclusive projects. You can get these tutorials by:
  1. Buying the tutorials ($10.25 NZD from me or equivalent in each market), click on the Buy Now Button under Tutorials for Sale at the top of this page, to make your purchase; or
  2. Spend $37 worth of Stampin' Up! product from me and you'll get these for free.
  3. Get them for free as a member of my Stampin' Up! Team.

The Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper is so cool! Picking out different colours from the paper gives such varied results, and especially for male cards.

I've added elements from various sets for this card. The Shaded Spruce label is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and has been embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder before I've added "happy" which has been adhered using the Foam Adhesive. Have you tried the Foam Adhesive yet? It makes creating dimension so easy!

The foliage is from the Poinsettia Dies in Champagne Foil.

To create the notches, either side of the Plaid Tidings DSP, I used the Daisy Punch. It works perfectly!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please continue on the hop to see everyone's creative projects.
